Private Health Insurance Exchanges: Moving Forward During Reform Uncertainty

Overview
Private Health Insurance Exchanges continue to emerge and evolve in the marketplace, typically structured with defined contribution approaches with regard to employer funding. Some prominent stakeholders are committing significant resources toward such exchanges. A number of platform companies providing solutions in this arena have forged strategic partnerships with health plans, and several health plans have proactively established their own exchange solutions or taken ownership interest in private exchanges.

While the ultimate role of public Health Insurance Exchanges under the Affordable Care Act may have a huge impact on private exchanges, the uncertainty of the the individual mandate and public exchanges under the pending Supreme Court decision may clear the path for private exchanges to yield an even more significant position in the marketplace.

Please join Michael Thompson, Principal with PricewaterhouseCoopers on Thursday June 7th, 2012 at 1PM Eastern, as he overviews the current private health insurance exchange environment, and then moderates presentations and discussion from a panel of stakeholders including Kevin Kickhaefer, Head of Sales and Market Development, Bloom Health; Ron Rowe, Vice President of Individual and Small Group Markets, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City; Joseph R Donlan, President, ConnectedHealth, and Chini Krishnan, Founder & CEO, Getinsured.com.
