Since 2007, DNV GL Healthcare has accredited more than 600 acute care and critical access hospitals across the United States. It is now using the same rigorous approach to accredit psychiatric hospitals, based on the ISO 9001 quality management control system and an emphasis on continuous improvement through risk-based thinking.
