Education is the Lynch Pin to Impact Coding Accuracy and Reduce Medical Costs | ||
US healthcare costs continue to climb at alarming rates each year.
Health expenditures grew 5.8% to $3.2 trillion in 2015, and accounted
for 17.8% of GDP. It is projected that health expenditures will be 19.9%
by 2025. This current trajectory is not sustainable, and, at the risk
of stating the obvious, healthcare must be redefined. While this may seem insurmountable, it doesn’t have to be. Providers, payers, partners, and even consumers do not need to “eat the elephant in one bite,” so to speak. All around us there are meaningful, effective, actionable ways to reduce healthcare costs. One example is to address the high cost of inaccurate coding/billing, which leads to overpayment of claims. Join this session to explore how to tackle inaccurate coding through technology and education. Please join us Thursday, September 28th, 2017 at 2 PM Eastern as Change Healthcare's David Cardelle discusses this topic in the HealthcareWebSummit event: Education is the Lynch Pin to Impact Coding Accuracy and Reduce Medical Costs.
