"I
love attending the IHI National Forum, where I get to interact with
thousands of others who believe that we can do better. I also find this
event equips me with tools to engage health care providers and
administrators, and to help them
'think
outside the box.'"

We
hope you can join us in Orlando, Florida, on December 9-12 for the
Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Annual National Forum on
Quality Improvement in Health Care. Here's a sample of what's new
in 2012:
Virtual
Site Visits
On
Monday, December 10, attendees have the option to get an inside look at
how improvement work is accomplished within best practice
organizations, via virtual tours and video interviews with front-line
staff and leadership. Take a trip to Jönköping, Sweden, or
Anchorage, Alaska, without leaving Orlando! Attendees will choose a
morning and afternoon site visit. Read more about Virtual Site Visits here.
A New Night of
Networking: Forum After Dark
Watch
a new health care-focused documentary, challenge your peers to an
adrenaline-pumping virtual safety game, or just come to connect with
others at this fun new event in the evening on Tuesday, December 11. No
need to enroll -- just mark your calendar!
Patient
and Student Storyboards
IHI
received over 400 storyboard proposals to display at this year's
National Forum. We didn't turn anyone down -- all the proposals were
exceptional! Walk through the new Patient and Student storyboard
section at the Storyboard
Reception in the afternoon of Tuesday, December 11.
New
Session Topics
We've
added fresh presentations this year -- on topics from accountable care,
to home health, to innovation via partnering with patients, and more.
Remember to enroll for the workshop sessions you would like to attend
before they sell out. Browse this document
for detailed descriptions of all sessions.
