This event brings together both the medical management and actuarial/underwriting sides of predictive modeling. It merges clinical and mathematical applications. On the clinical end, predictive models can assess risk, stratify member populations according to risk, and guide interventions and care management strategies. On the statistics side, predictive models can use data available from care providers and patients to more accurately assess risk and forecast outcomes. For health plans, predictive models can provide more comprehensive information about the members they serve.
