Medicaid's Role in Health Insurance Exchanges
With the release of HHS’s guidelines on Exchanges,
stakeholders have more direction on the minimum
requirements for health plans to operate in the
Exchanges and how Medicaid will integrate with the
Exchange marketplace.
AHIP’s next
Exchange Conference, September 15-16 in
Washington, D.C. will bring together thought-leaders
to discuss the key issues related to coordinating
coverage and care between subsidized health
insurance coverage available through Exchanges,
Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance
Program. Coordinating high-quality care across these
coverage types and how to bring individuals and
small businesses into the system will be some of the
key issues examined.
AHIP has strategically aligned the
Exchange Conference with our
Medicaid Conference to optimize your time and
educational needs.
Speakers will Address:
-
How will Exchanges impact the Medicaid and
insurance enrollment process?
-
What are the health characteristics of new
individuals gaining access to health insurance
through the Exchanges?
-
What are challenges and needs of new individuals
who may be different from those traditionally
covered by Medicaid or commercial insurance?
-
What is the political and fiscal reality of the
states that influence the development and
implementation of Medicaid expansion and
Exchange implementation?
-
How will the care be coordinated for those
individuals whose eligibility moves them between
Medicaid and Exchanges, and within the Exchange
subsidy levels?
