Dear Colleague:

Do you know of a clinician new or aspiring to a leadership position? The Duke Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Leadership Program (MHS-CL), a multi-disciplinary part-time degree program designed specifically for the clinician is now accepting applications for the Fall 2014 term. In the ever changing health care environment that includes the arrival of accountable care organizations and other new health system models, there is a pressing need for clinicians who can lead the transformation of our medical care system to one that is focused on population health improvement, improves the experience of those for whom we care, and delivers better value. The Clinical Leadership Program is housed within the Duke School of Medicine’s Department of Community and Family Medicine, which has a long history of experience in leading change to improve population health outcomes. This program prepares those in or aspiring to leadership positions to accept and perform at increasing levels of responsibility. Since 2002, this program has prepared leaders for service in public, private and non-governmental organizations and institutions around the globe.

The Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Leadership Program highlights include:
• The program is a 42 credit hour professional degree awarded by the Duke University School of Medicine.
• Learners in the program are typically a licensed MD, PA, NP, PT, RN, APN, etc.
