Dear Colleague,
Leadership in Crises: Preparation and Performance is an Executive Education program at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government designed for senior executives in public, private, and nonprofit sectors responsible for making key decisions or communicating in a crisis.
As the start date of the April 10 - 15, 2011 program approaches, we wanted to assure that you were aware of this exciting offering.
Previous Leadership in Crises program participants have praised the program for its focus on preparing and training executives to collaborate more effectively during an unpredictable event. While assessing crisis responses from real-life situations, you will acquire the strategic, communication, and personal skills needed to achieve successful outcomes. Faculty for the program include Professors Dutch Leonard and Arn Howitt, who have researched, studied, and analyzed leaders and organizations facing crisis situations for over a decade.
Participants in the 2010 session of the program noted:
"I really enjoyed the guest speakers, along with the instruction. I plan to send other staff to attend this program."
"I would recommend this program to anyone new to EM (Emergency Management) or anyone who wants to hone their leadership skills. The opportunity to network with others whom you may not normally meet was an awesome experience."
"The program instructors, curriculum, and open environment created one of the best learning atmospheres I have experienced."
