Conference, March 7-8 in Washington, D.C., will focus on critical

- The Changing Insurance Environment: The Effect of
Adjusted Community Rating and Guarantee Issue on the Marketplace
The uncertainty of market reform changes and
Exchanges on health plan operational and business processes and policies
can be daunting. How will changes in rating affect how health plans create
insurance products that are affordable inside and outside of the Exchange?
This session gives you an opportunity to examine critical questions and
provides you with insight into your strategic planning.

Benefits—Addressing Benefit Requirements for Qualified Health Plans in
the Exchange
This session will provide some clarity on what the
guidelines propose and include discussion about how states may proceed. You
will hear from stakeholder groups about key issues, challenges, and
opportunities presented by the guidelines for health plans and states in
developing qualified health plans for the exchange.
- Preparing Health Plan Operations and Technology
Infrastructure
What is being considered and implemented by state
Exchanges to verify eligibility, collect data from health plans on rates
and benefits and send data to health plans to complete enrollment? What
does all of this mean for operational and technology infrastructure for
health plans? Leaders and advisors to the States will offer insights into
what they are considering as their IT development gets underway and how
health plans should prepare.
- Design Industry Making a Difference in Health
Insurance Exchange Web Portals
Learn about the IDEO Enroll UX 2014 project to
develop a first class user experience for Exchange web portals. Speakers
from the initiative will offer insight into the latest phase of the project
and provide information about the project goals.
