ICD-10 and the
5010 Mandate - A Technology View
By
October 1, 2014, health plans and providers are required to comply with the
use of ICD-10 code sets used in reporting health care diagnoses and
procedures. With this compliancy, along with implementation of the HIPAA
5010 mandate, the portability of health care coverage should become simpler
and easier to transport across our health care system. These changes will
create a significant impact on most health plan and provider processes and
IT systems.

More Semesters!
|
If
you are familiar with AHIP courses, you know that we offered most courses
within a semester schedule. Beginning this year, AHIP’s courses are no
longer connected to semester dates. The majority of courses allow 90
calendar days from the day you enroll and pay for a course to complete
your studies and take the exam. This provides you with added flexibility
to study on your own time and at your own pace. A few exceptions are
noted in the catalog.
