It will be five
years ago this spring that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care
Act was signed into law. That milestone legislation has had a huge
impact on virtually every facet of healthcare delivery in both
California and the rest of the United States. In 2015, the Golden State is greeted by an improving economy, a continued enrollment of residents in both subsidized private health insurance and Medi-Cal through the Covered California health insurance exchange. But it also faces many challenges, including the need to provide services to millions more insured Californians, an ongoing need to replace and retrofit aging hospitals, continuing increases in the cost of delivering care, demands of labor unions for improved pay and benefits, and many other issues. Please join us on Friday, January 23, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time as Ron Shinkman, Publisher of Payers & Providers, Steven T. Valentine, President, The Camden Group and Jim Lott, Chief Strategy Officer, Martin Luther King Community Hospital provide expert perspectives on the California Healthcare Environment in 2015.
